About the Cover: “Because he lives, we can face tomorrow” (acrylic on canvas, 2002) by Ovide Bighetty is the final painting in “The Creator's Sacrifice,” a series of 17 paintings based on the Easter story, commissioned by Indian Métis Christian Fellowship of Regina. This scene shows the post-resurrection Jesus with a disciple. Ovide Bighetty is a self-taught artist originally from Pukatawagan First Nation in northern Manitoba, who works in the Woodlands style founded by Norval Morriseau.
